I bought the original game when it was new (I even remember cutting school to drive to a game shop and buy it, was already a huge fan since HoMM 2), bought Armageddon's Blade when it came out and later bought the Complete Edition. Personally I will certainly buy the hd remake when it's on sale since I'm a huge fan of the game and just have to see this new version. I'm not sure if 15 bucks is a fair price for just the base game with hd textures, that's something everyone has decide for himself. The whole point of this remake are the hd textures, just in case you didn't notice it.

It's quite unfortunate that the source code for the expansions was lost though, because without them the old rule is true - gameplay is more important than graphics. Personally I have always hoped for a 1:1 remake of HoMM with hd graphics. Does the GOG version have the hd textures? No, it doesn't.
